Music Videos

Music videos are other ways to spread music that artists produce, and give a visual form to the audio format that is originally produced.  They can be very entertaining, and make you like the song even more, or help you understand what the artist's meaning behind the song is. Sometimes the video can be random, and not even explain the song, they can also be boring or over done. This is sometimes seen with hip-hop/rap videos, where money, cars, drugs, and women will be included in the video and there is no originality.  I recently saw two videos that used another elements from another common form of media, movies trailers. Movie trailers are used to promote the movie and get the attention of viewers and get them to watch the movie when it comes out. In a way music videos have the same purpose, it should be interesting to get the attention of people and buy their albums. These two videos are create a trailer to a fictional movie, and uses the song as the background music for the trailer. The first is Moves, by The New Pornographers, and the second is Howlin' For You, by the Black Keys.
